John D. Wright

Mr. Wright is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alvopetro. Mr. Wright was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Petrominerales from inception to May 6, 2010 and then the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Wright has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Petrobank Energy and Resources Ltd. since 2000, and was appointed the Chairman of the Board in January 2013. Mr. Wright has been the President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Lightstream Resources Ltd. since 2011, and served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer between October 2009 and May 2011. Previously, Mr. Wright served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacalta Resources Ltd. from May 1996 to June 1999; Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Hydrocarbons Inc. from December 1993 to April 1996; and Vice President Production of Morgan Hydrocarbons Inc. from 1989 to 1993. Mr. Wright began his career in the oil industry after he graduated from the University of Alberta in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. Mr. Wright is a Professional Engineer and also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.

Corey C. Ruttan

Corey C. Ruttan is the President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Alvopetro. Previously, Mr. Ruttan was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Petrominerales Ltd. from May 2010 until Petrominerales was acquired by Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. in November 2013. Prior thereto, he was the Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Petrominerales since May 2006. From March 2000 to May 2010, Mr. Ruttan was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Petrobank Energy and Resources Ltd. and held increasingly senior positions with Petrobank since Petroban’s inception in 2000. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lightstream Resources Ltd. from October 2009 to May 2010. Mr. Ruttan previously served as Vice President of Caribou Capital Corp. from June 1999 to March 2000; Manager Financial Reporting of Pacalta Resources Ltd. from May 1997 to June 1999; and began his career at KPMG from September 1994 to May 1997. Mr. Ruttan obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting from the University of Calgary in 1994 and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1997.

Firoz Talakshi

Mr. Firoz Talakshi was appointed a director of Alvopetro in November 2013. Since October 2012, Mr. Talakshi has been Senior Advisor, KPMG International Corporate Tax, Calgary. From 1977 to September 2012, Mr. Talakshi held various positions with KPMG Canada, including Partner, acting as lead tax Partner for a number of public companies of varying sizes. Mr. Talakshi is a Chartered Accountant and was qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1973 with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Mr. Talakshi is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.

Geir Ytreland

Mr. Geir Ytreland was appointed a director of Alvopetro in November 2013. Mr. Ytreland is a geologist with more than 30 years experience in the international petroleum industry. Currently, Mr. Ytreland is a Principal Advisor with Gaffney, Cline & Associates, United Kingdom. Since 2004, Mr. Ytreland worked as an advisor and project manager in development and cooperation projects for the Norwegian government in East Timor, Afghanistan and some Latin American and African countries. Mr. Ytreland also worked as a geoscientist and explorationist at Unocal for 13 years and at Norsk Hydro for seven years in Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, United States, the Middle East and Latin America. He was General Manager for Norsk Hydro in Venezuela from 1995 to 2000. Mr. Ytreland holds a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Bergen in Norway.

Kenneth R. McKinnon

Mr. Kenneth R. McKinnon was appointed a director of Alvopetro in November 2013. Mr. McKinnon has held the position of Vice President Legal and General Counsel of Critical Mass Inc. since March 2000. Mr. McKinnon has served on the Board of Governors of the University of Calgary since September 2008, as a member of its Governance and Human Resources Committee since June 2010, and as a director and Chairman of the Governance and Compensation Committee of Alberta Innovates – Technology Futures since January 2010. Mr. McKinnon holds an ICD.D designation as a certified corporate director.

Roderick L. Fraser

Mr. Fraser is a petroleum engineer with over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas sector initially through industry roles with Amoco (production engineer), Esso (field superintendent) and Fuel Resources (VP Operations and Board member). Mr. Fraser moved to oil and gas investment banking in 1992. Mr. Fraser held various senior positions with JP Morgan Chase (Managing Director, Head of Oil & Gas Latin America), WestLB (Managing Director, Head of Oil & Gas Americas) and Standard Bank of South Africa (Managing Director, Global Head of Oil & Gas). Much of Mr. Fraser's banking career has been spent supporting junior exploration and production and services companies develop and implement growth initiatives in emerging markets. Mr. Fraser is currently an independent consultant acting as strategic advisor for large financial institutions (investment banks and private equity / hedge funds). Mr. Fraser also serves as non-executive director of Fortaleza Energy Inc. Mr. Fraser is based in New York City and Salvador, Brazil.
